Satya Yoga Co-op’s Yoga Teacher Training for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color)
We are excited to announce that our teacher training cohort starts Sept 2, 2024!
Applications are due July 15th
Length:
Immersion: 150 hours
Yoga Teacher Training (YTT): 50 contact hours
Schedule: Thursdays 6-9 pm, and the first weekend of the month 10am-4pm. In-Person, in Denver, CO
Tuition is sliding scale. Please use this guide to help you understand where you might land on the payment scale.
Subsidized Tuition
Immersion $2500-2800
Immersion+ YTT $2800-3000
This is the lowest rate our program can offer while still paying our teachers a fair rate. This is subsidized by Satya Yoga Cooperative donations we receive at our community classes. You might choose this option if you are supporting children or have other dependents, have significant medical expenses or debt, receive public assistance, are an unpaid community organizer, have immigration-related expenses or are an elder with limited financial support.
Reduced Cost Tuition
Immersion: $2800 -3000
Immersion + YTT: $3000-3300
This is a rate that allows us to pay our teachers a fair cost without subsidizing the cost from our donation bank. You might choose this option if you are supporting children/other dependents & also can afford or have relational resources that support you being able to access travel, recreational activities, and education. You may have some stress about meeting basic needs but are always able to meet them, have some debt but it does not prohibit access to food, shelter, or transportation, and are able to take a vacation every year/couple of years without it causing financial strain.
Full Cost Tuition
Immersion: $3000-3200
Immersion + YTT: $3300-3500
This is the market value of this program. At this level, you support paying our teachers a fair rate and you support the growth of the cooperative which allows us to organize community events, offerings, and trainings in a way that aligns with our values. You might choose this option if you own the home you live in, have investments/retirement accounts/inherited wealth, travel recreationally, work part time by choice, or have a relatively high degree of earning power due to education (even if it’s not currently being exercised.)
